Resumen

Se realizó un estudio retrospectivo de los pacientes atendidos en Cuerpo de guardia por el Servicio de Cirugía Máxilo Facial durante un año, con el propósito de conocer la cantidad de pacientes que se atienden en cuerpo de guardia en un año. Se atendieron 126577 pacientes de los cuales 5398 correspondieron a Máxilo Facial. El síndrome traumático predominó (54.5%). Las heridas fueron el diagnóstico más frecuente. Hubo 11.6% pacientes que no9 constituían urgencias. El 5.3% de los pacientes atendidos pertenecían a Estomatología.

ABSTRACT

A retrospective study of all the patients, who were assisted at the Maxillo Facial Emergency Service, was carried out aiming to know the quantity of patients treated in a year. Out of 126577 patients seen at the hospital, 5398 belonged to the Maxillo Facial Serevice. Traumatic syndrome was predominant (54.5%). Wounds were the most frequent diagnosis. 628 patients (11.6%) were not considered as urgencies. The patients assisted at Stomalology Service accounted for 5.3%.
