Hallazgos anatomopatológicos en las histerectomías por dolor pélvico crónico

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo en las pacientes sometidas a histerectomía por dolor pélvico crónico durante los años 1999 y 2000, en el Hospital Abel Santamaría Cuadrado, de Pinar del Río. Durante estos dos años se realizaron un total de 1027 histerectomías y de estas, 155 se hicieron con el diagnóstico de dolor pélvico crónico. El mayor número de pacientes estuvo en las décadas de los 30 años con 2 o 3 hijos y con esta misma paridad en la década de los 40 años. El hallazgo más frecuente fue el útero con peso patológico seguido por la adenomiosis y el fibroma uterino. El dolor pélvico crónico representó la segunda causa de histerectomía en nuestro trabajo con 155 pacientes.
