Application of pyramidal energy in old people with digestive disorders

Introduction: pyramidal energy is accumulated biocosmic energy in a pyramid.Objective: to demonstrate the effectiveness of pyramidal energy in old patients.
Material and method: a descriptive, prospective and longitudinal study was conducted. The target group comprised 480 patients. An intentional sample of 200 patients was taken. Geriatric scale of functional assessment was used before and after the treatment with pyramidal energy, allowing the identification of the changes observed in biomedical, psychological, social and functional spheres.
Results: female sex predominated and ages between 70-79 and 60-69. The most frequent diseases were: chronic gastritis, hiatal hernia and chronic duodenitis. A considerable reduction in the use of medications and polypharmacy were observed after the pyramidal treatment. Geriatric functional scale showed a recovery with an item of 5 in 60-69 and 70-79 years old respectively; different from the group of 80 years or older, coming from a marked functional repercussion (degree 1), to moderate (degree 3 and 4).
Conclusions: the effectiveness of the alternative treatment was confirmed.
