Abstract
Se presenta un caso de un paciente que acudió el 28 de octubre de 1994 al servicio de imaginología del Hospital General Docente "Augusto César Sandino" en Pinar del Río, donde se le realizo un ultrasonido abdominal por presentar dolor en el hipocondrio derecho e íctero, diagnosticándose en el mismo ascaris en vesícula y vías biliares intrahepáticas. El diagnóstico se confirmo con el examen de heces fecales y por la expulsión de parásitos en las heces. Se describen los hallazgos ultrasonográficos y se revisa la literatura sobre el tema. El paciente evolucionó satisfactoriamente después del tratamiento, realizándosele ultrasonido abdominal evolutivo al egreso el cual resulto normal.
