Infecciones nosocomiales. Estudio de diez años en el Hospital "27 de Noviembre"

Se realizó un estudio de la infección intrahospitalaria en el Hospital "27 de Noviembre" de Consolación del Sur, durante un período de diez años, haciendo especial énfasis en el Servicio de Gineco-obstetricia, tomando en cuenta la tasa de infección nosocomial por servicios, el porciento de muestras tomadas positivas, los gérmenes predominantes y la localización de la infección, concluyéndose que la mayor tasa de infección nosocomial correspondió al servicio de Recién Nacidos y en segundo lugar al de Gineco-obstetricia, existiendo un bajo porciento de la toma de muestra y en la positividad de las mismas, siendo los gérmenes predominantes el Estafilococo Coagulasa positivo y la Escherichia Coli, y la localización más frecuente la sepsis de la episiotomía, la piel y mucosa, el tractus urinario y la endometritis
