Introduction: research practice constitutes a characteristic in Higher Education, referring to the search, analysis and systematization of knowledge, as well as the appropriation of techniques, methods and protocols specific to research activity.
Objective: to present actions that will favor the results of student scientific work and its quality in the faculty.
Methods: an educational intervention was carried out to strengthen the Science activity in the Technological Faculty, fulfilling the tasks of the project governed by the Scientific Research Department in the period from January to July 2023, the non-probabilistic method was used for convenience for the selection of the sample made up of 17 students and 37 teachers, as leading components of the student research process. Theoretical methods (analytical-synthetic; inductive-deductive) and empirical level documentary review were applied. As a practical and social significance, the research provides a set of actions that the project defines that contribute to the direction of learning, the active role of the student in the construction of knowledge and the space for their experiences to be meaningful.
Results: five methodological activities were taught to perfect the investigative action, creation of the team made up of 13 student researchers participating in different scientific events and publications in impact journals.
Conclusions: an awakening is evident in the science activity after the actions of the team of student researchers associated with the project and teachers encouraged to accompany them in the science activity after their performance.
