B-learning and teaching media system in dental anatomy, they contribution to the development of cognitive independence

Introduction: b-learning increases student motivation and incorporates digital tools into the teaching-learning process.
Objective: determine the contribution of b-learning to the good development of student’s cognitive independence in dental anatomy.
Methods: the research was carried out during the 2023 academic year, in Masticatory System subject, in the University of Medical Sciences of Pinar del Rio. It consisted in the application of b-learning environment, supported by an integrated teaching media system, to guaranteed students teaching helps for the solution of teaching tasks, in order to contribute to the good development of cognitive independence.
Results: the orientation of student’s self-preparation was carried out through a system of integrative teaching tasks, the solution of which was carried out in a b-learning learning environment, supported by the teaching media system. Motivation was found in the students, which increased independent activity and influenced their correct self-preparation and the good development of cognitive independence.
Conclusions: the application of b-learning, supported by the integrated system of teaching aids for the study of the dental group of teeth, through a system of integrative teaching tasks, showed its effectiveness in contributing to the improvement of the students correct self-preparation and the good development of cognitive independence.
