Percepción de los estudiantes de medicina sobre la formación de habilidades profesionales
Abstract
Introducción: la formación de habilidades profesionales constituye un componente esencial en la preparación de los estudiantes de Medicina, al favorecer la integración de los conocimientos con las acciones propias del futuro desempeño profesional. La Atención Primaria de Salud permite desarrollar estas habilidades mediante la educación en el trabajo.
Objetivo: valorar la percepción de los estudiantes de Medicina sobre la formación de habilidades profesionales en la Atención Primaria de Salud.
Métodos: se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal en los policlínicos universitarios del municipio Pinar del Río durante el curso académico 2024-2025. El universo estuvo constituido por 195 estudiantes de sexto año de Medicina y se seleccionó una muestra intencional de 126 estudiantes que aceptaron participar. Se aplicó una encuesta y la información obtenida se procesó mediante estadística descriptiva.
Resultados: la totalidad de los estudiantes reconoció la importancia de las habilidades profesionales para su futuro desempeño; sin embargo, solo el 52,3 % refirió conocer las habilidades que debía desarrollar en las asignaturas vinculadas con la Atención Primaria de Salud. El 25,1 % consideró que los tutores planificaban sistemáticamente actividades dirigidas a su formación. Aunque el 83,1 % percibió motivación en los tutores, solo el 31,3 % valoró como buena su preparación para conducir este proceso.
Conclusiones: los estudiantes reconocieron la importancia de las habilidades profesionales y las posibilidades que ofrece la Atención Primaria de Salud para su desarrollo. Se identificaron dificultades relacionadas con el conocimiento de estas habilidades, la planificación de las actividades docentes y la preparación pedagógica de los tutores.
