The process of postgraduate education in English Language discipline at Higher Medical Education constitutes a significant requisite in current times. This is observed in the poor performance of dentists in Pinar del Rio province when the examination to obtain the established teaching ranks according to the regulations of Higher Education in the country is applied, as well as the tests in English Language to take the master's and philosophy doctor degrees. A literature review was conducted to determine the state of the art of such process. A group of dentists of the province was interviewed to confirm the empiric existence of the problem and the records of the Department of the Teaching Secretary at Medical University were checked to determine the quantity of postgraduate courses that were taught in English Language with specific purposes to the dentists during the past five years.Downloads
