Scorpion bite in a child: A case report

A one-year old patient without pathologic records, presenting a three-day pain and an increase of volume in inferior limbs was admitted at children hospital, three days after the admission it was known about a scorpion bite en both inferior limbs. Most of complementary examinations showed normal levels, only hemoglobin levels confirmed moderately low levels (104g/L), pain at palpation either at active or passive mobilization was noticed at physical examination, edema in both inferior members and a great irritability were as well observed. A moderate poisoning due to scorpion bite was the conclusion of the case. The authors examined the theme and narrated their experiences in the case management.Downloads
