Estudio de la morbi-letalidad de la cadera en el Hospital "León Cuervo Rubio". Morbidity and lethality of hip fractures at “Leon Cuervo Rubio” Provincial General Hospital. A study
Abstract
Se realiza un análisis de los resultados obtenidos con el inicio de la movilización y | a 399 pacientes portadores de Fracturas de Cadera, tratados quirúrgicamente en el periodo comprendido desde 1994 hasta 1998, ingresados en el Hospital Docente Clínico Quirúrgico "León Cuervo Rubio" de Pinar del Río, iniciándose por primera vez este método creado en el Servicio de Ortopedia y Traumatología de este centro durante su ingreso hospitalario. Se describe el método utilizado y se argumenta los resultados satisfactorios. Se concluye con las ventajas Bio - Psico - Social del paciente y familiares, así como el ahorro económico por este concepto a la economía del país.

ABSTRACT
An analysis of the results obtained at the beginning of mobilization and early discharge to 399 patients with hip fractures, treated surgically in the period from 1994 to 1998 who were admitted at León Cuervo Rubio Provincial Clinical Surgical Hospital in Pinar del Río, with the beginning for the first time of this method created at the Service of Orthopedics and Traumatology of this center during their hospital admission. A description is made of the method which was used and explanation is made of the satisfactory results. Conclusion is made with Bio-psycho-social advantages for the patients and his relatives, as well as economic saving for this concept for the economy of the Country.
