Experiencias del trabajo extensionista: el proyecto policlínico universitario Extracurricular experiences in the University Out-patient Clinic. Consolación del Sur
Abstract
La universidad médica en Cuba ha sufrido muchas transformaciones desde el triunfo revolucionario hasta nuestros días siendo el Proyecto Policlínico Universitario una prueba fehaciente de ello. Desde sus inicios en el municipio Consolación del Sur, se ha desarrollado una estrategia de trabajo extensionista, con los estudiantes de dicho proyecto, brindando la oportunidad de utilizar en la práctica los conocimientos adquiridos en las aulas, experiencia que ha favorecido de la calidad del proceso docente- educativo. Este trabajo ha demostrado la importancia que tiene para el estudiantado, la realización de actividades extracurriculares y su repercusión positiva sobre el proceso de aprendizaje garantizando la formación de un Médico General Básico a la altura de estos tiempos.

ABSTRACT
The Cuban Medical School has suffered many changes from the triumph of the Revolution being the University Out Patient Clinic a proof of it. From its beginning in Consolación del Sur municipality, an extracurricular strategy has been developed with all the students enrolled in this project giving the opportunity of practicing the knowledge acquired in the classroom, favoring this experience the quality of the educative-teaching process. The present work has demonstrated the importance of these extracurricular activities and its positive repercussion on the learning process for the students, which guarantees the training of a General Physician according to the current times.
