Current status of the information management of the provincial optical and auditory warehouse in Pinar del Río

Introduction: health Informatics is nourished by the convergence between Information Sciences, Computer Sciences and Health Sciences, and it is a discipline that has expanded significantly in recent years thanks to the accelerated progress of information and communication technologies (ICT). Hence, it is necessary to computerize the information management process in the Provincial Optical Warehouse, which is not being carried out efficiently.
Objective: to determine the current state of the information management of the Provincial Warehouse of Optics and Hearing of Pinar del Río Province with the use of Technologies.
Methods: a technological innovation type research was carried out, it is based on the dialectic approach, which is assumed as the philosophical basis of the elements dealt with in the thesis. From this approach, research methods, procedures and techniques were used, both theoretical and empirical, as well as mathematical-statistical.
Results: it was possible to delimit the characteristics of each of the processes developed in the area of the Provincial Optical Warehouse. Also the functional and non-functional requirements of the computer prototype and the programming tasks to achieve it.
Conclusions: in general, the current state of information management in the Provincial Optical and Hearing Warehouse of Pinar del Río Province was described in order to contribute to the design of a computer prototype that will allow quick access and improve efficiency in data management.
