State of the art in rheumatoid foot podiatric techniques for graduates in Health Rehabilitation

Introduction: nowadays, the scientific-technical development demands that postgraduate education should respond to the demands of professionals in Higher Education, as one of the ways of continuity to undergraduate studies in careers with a wide profile and to the preparation for employment.
Objective: to evaluate the training process for the application of podiatric techniques of rheumatoid foot in graduates in Health Rehabilitation of the Luis Augusto Turcios Lima Polyclinic in Pinar del Rio.
Methods: a critical-valuative analysis was carried out, with a mixed approach to the process, based on the Marxist-Leninist conception with dialectical-materialist approach, and the use of different methods of the theoretical, empirical and statistical-mathematical level. The universe was constituted by the 32 rehabilitators and 22 teachers of the career. Triangulation was developed considering the results obtained from the applied methods.
Results: the process of improvement in the application of podiatric techniques of rheumatoid foot in graduates in Health Rehabilitation is insufficient and outdated; therefore, it requires a process of continuous improvement aimed at improving professional performance and based on theoretical foundations that support the development of improvement activities on a theoretical-practical basis.
Conclusions: the process of improvement in the application of podiatric techniques of rheumatoid foot in graduates in Health Rehabilitation, allowed detecting its regularities, summarized in its systemic character, since it manifests itself in an unplanned and unintentional way, which allows correcting the deficiencies found between the current state and the desired state.
