Abstract

Acromegaly is not frequently found in Cuba, it is characterized by morphological disorders in soma and soft tissues with evidences of hypophyseal tumor. A 32 years old female patient was presented as a second case reported in Pinar del Rio province. The patient showed a disproportional growing of skull, of the soft and acral parts, prognathism, macroglossia along with thick and seborrheic skin. Complementary examinations corroborated the presence of a hypophyseal tumor, distal phalanges of the hands in arrowhead and osteoporosis. Adjacent to this diagnosis the following diseases were identified: multifactorial anemia, uterine fibroma, congenital strabismus and right renal agenesis.
