Nuevos betalactámicos. Revisión. New beta-lactams. Literature review
Abstract
Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica sobre betalactámicos, de uso poco frecuente, con el objetivo de ampliar los conocimientos al respecto; llegando a la conclusión de que estos fármacos son muy útiles para combatir las sepsis, ya sea de forma profiláctica, de la comunidad o intrahospitalaria. No obstante se debe hacer un uso correcto de los mismos para evitar el surgimiento de resistencia bacteriana, efectos indeseables, así como el aumento de costos hospitalarios.

ABSTRACT
A bibliographic review about beta-lactams was made, they are seldom used it is aimed at widening the knowledge in this field, it is concluded that this drugs are very useful against sepsis, prophylacticaly in the community or intra-hospital. However, a correct use of these drugs must be made in order to avoid bacterial resistance, undesirable effects, as well as the increase of hospital costs.
