Introduction: the combination of Informatics and Medical Sciences has allowed the development of interesting projects in the country, aimed at computerizing the services of patient care. The clinical reception process is performed manually by the medical staff, recording the data corresponding to the interrogation and physical examination, as primary components of the medical reception process that are recorded in the Clinical History of patients at León Cuervo Rubio Clinical Surgical Teaching Hospital.
Objective: to implement a database, as a data storage technique, that records the information related to the interrogation and physical examination of patients at León Cuervo Rubio Clinical Surgical Teaching Hospital.
Method: a technological development research is carried out, which will define the process of implementation of the relational database from the interrogation and physical examination of the patients in the hospital. In addition, the architecture and the methodology of development are defined, exposing the diagrams corresponding to the logical and physical model of the database and later constructing its tables and relationships.
Results: the relational database was implemented, which supports the information of the interrogation and physical examination of the patients.
Conclusion: the elements presented in this paper confirm the relevance of the implementation of the data base, providing a considerable improvement in the storage and the analysis of large volumes of hospital data by means of BEHIQUE SIC Application.
