Abstract
Se presenta el caso de un paciente masculino, raza blanca y 58 años de edad que fallece en el Hospital Provincial Clínico Quirúrgico «Abel Santamaría de Pinar del Río, como consecuencia de un trombolismo pulmonar y que en el estudio necrósico se encontró además una tumoración de 8 cm de diámetro en la pared del ventrículo derecho que histológicamente resulto ser hemangiopericitoma maligno primario del corazón. El hecho de considerar este tumor primario una rareza clínica nos motivo a la realización de este trabajo.

In this study, a 58 years old white male patient, who deceased in Abel Santamaria General Hospital in Pinar del Rio, was carefully analized. A pulmonary thromboembolism caused his death. During the necropsy, it was also found an 8 cm diameter tumor in the right ventricular wall. Histologically, it was a primarily malignant cardiac hemangohepericitoma. This primary tumor is clinically uncommon, thus motivating this study.
