Encefalopatía hipóxica isquémica en recién nacidos a término. Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy in Term new Borsns
Abstract

A prospective cross-sectional study about term newborns with ischemic encephalopathy was carried out at Justo Legon Padilla Gyneco-Obstetric Hospital, between January 1995 and February 1996. Age, gestational period, parity and weight of the newborn were the variables of the study. Chi-squared test and Fisher's exact probability test were used for statistical reliability (alfa=0.05) resulting in a dependent corelation between age (p<0.05) and gestational time (p<0.001) when comparing group B; as well as nulliparity (p<0.05) when comparing group A. Weight was also statistically significant (p<0.05) for newborns >2.500 g.
