Factores prenatales y su relación con el crecimiento intrauterino retardado en recién nacidos a término. Antenatal factors and their relation to the intrauterine growth retardation in term newborn

Resumen

En un estudio transversal y analítico de algunos factores prenatales, realizado a los binomios madre _ recién nacido a término (RNT) con crecimiento intrauterino retardado (CIUR) nacidos en los Hospitales Gineco Obstétricos Justo Legón Padilla y Abel Santamaría de Pinar del Río, con su correspondiente grupo control (130 casos), en el periodo comprendido desde julio del 2000 hasta julio del 2001, con el objetivo de analizar algunos factores relacionados con el CIUR en el RNT. Resultaron significativos: la edad materna inferior a 17 años y mayor de 34, el peso materno al inicio del embarazo inferior a 50 kg, la talla materna inferior a 150 cm, la paridad de dos o más recién nacidos anteriores y el periodo intergenésico inferior a 2 años y aun más el mayor de 5 años. La hipertensión arterial durante el embarazo no resultó con influencia significativa en el CIUR del RNT.

ABSTRACT

A cross sectional and analytic study about some antenatal factors was carried out taking into the samples the binomial mother - newborn infant (retarded intrauterine newborn infants) born at Justo Legón Padilla Gyneco Obstetrics Hospital and Abel Santamaría General Hospital. Control group was formed by 130 cases analysed from July 2000 to July 2001 aimed at assessing some aspects related to retarded intrauterine growth in term - newborn infants resulting significant: maternal age (under 17 years and over 34 years old), weight at the beginning of pregnancy (under 50 kg), height (under 150 cm), parity from 2 or more, an intergenesic period (under 5 years and over 5 years). Hypertension during pregnancy had no significant influence in retarded intrauterine growth of the term - newborn infants.
